Let’s see some video of DeRose swinging

Something with his stride, like when his front foot comes down he does that “step over” move at the last second to get that extra bit of explosiveness. But its different, like its exaggerated vertically and de-accentuated horizontally. Its more like there’s a little stutter and then his foot comes down than it is that “reaching” effect you see with guys who have longer strides. Like he’s keeping his foot up just a little bit longer to let his back leg and upper half finish their job. Another timing mechanism maybe?

Also, nice finish, he got off the mound nicely.
