This year his #s have been awful but he had three seasons prior that varied b/w above-avg and stellar in RF. Too soon to call him terrible out there.

he’s pitching in front of basically no defense (2d baseman Mike Lamb?!) and, from what Meddler and others have posted here, his peripherals have been very good. Our problem is that we’re assuming Omar/the front office will see “1-6 with a 6.31 ERA” and assume he’s just a terrible pitcher.

it's not really tim's fault
grounder that had eyes (and luis castillo has negative range) was the first run, and that ball is a flyout in most parks

His performance gives me hope
Not sure he’s gonna be a superstar or power bat (he should probably move to CF in 2 yrs) but he’s shown the ability to hit the ball the other way, play a good OF and can be a gap hitter. The fact that he’s 20 makes me very confident he will be a nice piece for a good team, not a guy to build around.

I would love to know the reasoning behind hitting for F! there. There is NO reason. Tatis has lost what little power he showed last year. Martinez is tough to double up, unlike Tatis (as seen there). NOT TO MENTION…F! had a nice level swing that resulted in a double earlier in this very game.
