Pettitte
said it’s okay if you’re using them to recover from injury.
This DL stint smells fishy to me.
My guess: on his way home from Camden at 7:45 PM, Brian Stokes came across a series of obscure clues that lead to the actual whereabouts of Raul Ibanez, and exposed the nefarious plot to replace him with an android lookalike (AKA, Raul Androidbanez).

Then Jerry called him on his cell
Whilst he was completing his police report and said “J.J., I don’t care how bad your arm hurts, get your ass in this game!”

I think there's a future in "New York Mets fan fiction"

You might be right
We should have Bobby Valentine cameo in every episode as the wacky former coach who always does something weird and crazy that ironically turns out to be very insightful. If we ever filmed it, he could be played by Bruce Campbell.

Crossover
You should do some crossover Mets fan-fic. “Perfect Strangers” – Mets fan fiction.
I’ll let you know when I finish my “Marmaduke” – Phillies fan-fic novel.

"Perfect Strangers"
is probably a good way to describe the relationship between Jerry Manuel and Brian Stokes. Also, I see Jerry being a pretty good Balki.

Best television theme song and opening credits
Sometimes the world looks perfect, with nothing to re-arrange…Brian and Jerry are on the way to Citi Field — Jerry in full uniform and spikes and Brian in street clothes — running down the steps of the Mets-Willets Point Station and on to fanwalk. Brian starts tossing in the bullpen with Jerry looking on. Somethings you get a feeling like you need some kind of change… The camera pans closely on the radar gun registering 97, then quickly cuts to Manuel with an excited look on his face. They shake hands, hug and walk from the bullpen out on to the field, arms around the other’s shoulder, as the sun sets. Nothing’s gonna stop me now…

Let's see how the Phils do with ONE of their guys out.
Let alone half their team.

I told a phillies fan a work
“Now all you have to do is lose Utley and one more starter and you will be in our boat. I would have said Rollins but he’s not doing shit anyway.”
He said “Let’s hope that doesn’t happen”
"We have to find a way to play better, there's no doubt. Overall. I'm not pointing fingers at anybody. Offense, defense, pitching -- we have to find a way to play better. The reality of this is, coming here to Pittsburgh and being swept -- personally, I feel embarrassed." -- Carlos Beltran
Meyers and Lidge are out, too
But still not even close to the Mets’ DL.

and Eyre
Staying healthy is a skill that 37 year old outfielders are generally not so good at.

Lidge=Putz
Meyers=Some combo of Ollie and Maine’s missed starts
That still gives them more pitching help, and almost all of their offense.

Madson seems to have picked up where Lidge left off
Let’s hope the same doesn’t hold true for Mayberry and Ibanez.
Sounds like he's out until the All-star break
