Scott Kazmir, LHP, Rays (High-A Charlotte)
Wednesday's stats: 4.2 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 5 K
Kazmir looked sharp in his first game since May 20, after which he hit the disabled list with a strained quadriceps, but also took some time to work with former pitching coach Rick Peterson to tweak his mechanics.
Goldstein. Sorry to bring up all these former players, but I found this note interesting, considering all the mythology about Peterson and the trade.

John Franco and Al Leiter
reportedly made the trip to Charlotte, specifically to tell Kazmir to turn down the volume on his boombox.

Much of Wanger's rehab
is writing practice “know your place” signs.
King of the bling come to lay down the evidence//Not George Bush, L-Millz be da president
Looks like the Biomechanics "fixed" him
Everyone is entitled to be stupid, but Jerry abuses the privilege.
people are always ragging on that trade
but Fortunato could still pay off…
He’s tearing it up with the St George Roadrunners in the Golden Baseball League.
I tried to put that trade in the depths of my mind
But looking at his win values really hurt. In 2005, as a 21 year old, he was worth 3.8 WAR. He followed that up with a 3.9 and 5.2 campaigns in ’06 and ’07. :-(

Obviously not trading him would have had a ripple effect
but if somehow we had held onto him but everything else had stayed the same, I think the Mets win 100+ in ’06 and win the World Series with ease. :-(
