I think I said Lidge would give up more HR
than F-Mart’s plate appearances.
It would be awesome if Lidge gave up 80 more HR’s.

I don't remember if I did this or not
but if I did, pretty sure I’m doing terrible.
"We have to find a way to play better, there's no doubt. Overall. I'm not pointing fingers at anybody. Offense, defense, pitching -- we have to find a way to play better. The reality of this is, coming here to Pittsburgh and being swept -- personally, I feel embarrassed." -- Carlos Beltran

I don't really get FIP
I get that is pitching independent of fielding (or vice-versa?), but that formula is really confusing. Who came up with that, Bill James?

I'm pretty sure
the initial idea for Defense Independent Pitching (DIPs) was developed by Voros McCracken, who has maybe the strangest name I’ve ever heard. Not sure who came up with the current formula that goes into FIP

It's a Tom Tango creation
like all other things that are good. I think Hardball Times has tweaked it over the years though.
