Citi Field vs Yankee Stadium III

Some swanky new overlays courtesy of Greg Rybarczyk at HitTracker. Yankee Stadium III is larger than Citi Field in just one small area of left-center; otherwise, Citi Field is bigger all-around, and dramatically so in rightfield and right-center.

Psh. They call that a ballpark.

It’s like a Little League field.

In short

Yankee Stadium is a joke.

Have there been any studies done on the “currents” which supposedly carry the ball further at the Stadium?

How tall are the walls in Yankee Stadium?

Laughably short

Eight feet — approximately two feet shorter than the old Yankee Stadium.

Wow, that's pretty pathetic.

Left center gap

In reality, it’s probably just as hard to hit a home run to that area at Citi as it is at YS III. I have to believe that when you factor in the height of the wall, the true distance in left center probably evens out.
