Note to Jerry:
Write this lineup down and keep it in your pocket for the next time you give Sheff a rest.
It’s the first one in a week that didn’t cause me to start drinking immidiately.
It’s still sucks, but it’s the best of what we have.
Everyone is entitled to be stupid, but Jerry abuses the privilege.
not a terrible lineup
but considering that Schneider has been pretty decent with the bat since coming off the DL, it doesn’t make much sense hitting him 8th.
Yup, that's my only gripe
But I think it was done to not have F! in the 8 hole and give him some pitches to hit. A guy like Gallardo pitching around him at this point to get to the Pitchers spot is probably not going leave him much room for success.
Everyone is entitled to be stupid, but Jerry abuses the privilege.
Schneider could bat higher
But he is not that bad at #8, he has better-than-average contact swinging outside the zone.
We'll score 12 today.
Not during the game, after the game, maybe stewardesses on the flight to Pittsburgh. It’ll make them feel better after the no-hitter.
The 2009 Amazin' Avenue: SCREW K-ROD, SIGN FUENTES! Check it out, K-Rod ERA under 1.00, Fuentes over 5.00. CASTILLO MUST GO! Castillo is hitting .300!! DON'T SIGN SHEFFIELD! Sheffield has been a great signing. OMIR WHO? Omir grand slam! OMIR SUCKS! Omir takes Papelbon deep to win. CASTRO OVER OMIR! Omir drives in every Met run, wins game! EPIC FAIL.
First time I picked them to lose on the swag
But I did it before Wright was in the lineup. I don’t know what that means, but I want them to prove we wrong. LETS GO!!!
First time?

Screw this game
I’m watching Roddick-Hewitt on ESPN 360. Good match so far. I look forward to Santos pinch hitting vs. Stetters in the 7th or the 8th.
I'm watching this on TV i hope it goes to 5 sets.
and will have the Mets game on MLB TV, all is good.
So much negativity!
Who cares if we suck?! Let’s Go Mets!!!

Schneider has no problem ignoring those breaking balls in the dirt
Dub and Church could use some training
wow
the idea that Brian Schneider could teach David Wright something about hitting is… so crazy, it just might work?
lol I'm not suggesting Schneider to teach anything
I’m just saying Schneider took balls in the dirt, while Dub and Church swung at them
Anyways, I don't think this is something you teach
They need to go to the cage and figure it out themselves
I actually went to the website the other day
It’s kinda awesome.

You gotta get Kendall here
He’s a truly terrible hitter. Now watch him line one.
What is the general attitude towards the Red Sox among Mets' fans?
Enemy of my enemy is my friend, stinkin Bostonians or who cares?
They had an utterly brutal loss last night. Now Beckett is getting hit today.
in general i dont like any boston sports
but i tolerate the red sox only because they hate the yankees as well

I just got home
I see Jerry went back on his most recent proclamation already. Nice.

I'm so tired of being fed this propoganda from the announcers and others
Yes we should be so grateful we’re only out and if we can just play decent ball we;ll have a great chance to turn things around. Cause the Phils will continue to play like crap for the rest of the season while we slowly nurse guys back into the lineup simulteanously becoming a good defensive and baserunning team.
Maybe Wright should have sat
after all, lol. Now he’ll probably sit tomorrow vs. a lefty, which is kinda dumb, too.
What about next week vs. Cincy?
Arroyo owns him, sit him then.
maybe it was just fan speculation
but I read that Arroyo might go on the DL. He’s been getting lit up.
To those interested
Roddick-Hewitt now 4-4 in the 5th set.
What did he say?

The Red Sox followed up a total blown game yesterday, giving up a late 10-1 lead to lose 11-10, by scoring 4 runs in the 9th to tie it 5-5 in Baltimore. Love em or hate em (I love em cause they beat the Yankees), that team is good,.

what the Mets have lacked is good baseball players who can do things with the bat, because they are almost all injured.

Putz is running over to the ball. Picks it up and whirls to home, THROWS IT AWAY! PHLLIES WIN! Putz appears hurt and we're getting word Reyes was involved in another car accident.
I'm waiting for his analysis on how the mets failed June's gut check time

Well the last games of the season are in October this year
"We must win and we must know how to win rather than win because we have statistical people."
Probably not of the year, but it's in the top 10
If we can’t finish this out, I don’t want to know where we go from here.

Bars won't have anything strong enough

Yeah found that out two day games ago.
I have bothup at the same time.
What the hell?
What does it mean when we have a higher number next to our name at the end of the game?
"We must win and we must know how to win rather than win because we have statistical people."
Pelf
gets the game ball. Way to go big fella. Lotsa Ks, some DPs, pitch deep. His best game of the year.
hey gang
just tuned in at work for the 9th.
whew!

pelf...huge today
had situations where he could have melted down but sucked it up
Good job by Pelf
That’s the #2 starter stuff we have been looking for.
4-6
against Cards, yanks and Brewers with Delgado, Reyes out for all and beltran now missing. Perspective. This is a tough stretch.
If we can put something together against Philly, I think the everything will look a bit brighter

Lol
How funny are we as Mets fans? Lose 2 to Brewers, “The season’s over. The Mets will be 8 out by the ASB.” Win the final game vs. Brewers, “If the Mets could steal a couple vs. the Phillies…” Ha ha.
Our offense
was pretty bad. Struck out 13 or 14 times, Wright 3×. Castillo and Chuuuuuuurch teamed up for the one run on a double and a slow roller up the middle.
Big PELF shut down the Brew Crew for 7 and 2/3 innings with 5 Ks. One balk that wasn’t a balk.
Green came in and saved the day in the 8th before K-Rod made things interesting in the ninth but got out of it and we PUT IT IN THE BOOKS!
"We have to find a way to play better, there's no doubt. Overall. I'm not pointing fingers at anybody. Offense, defense, pitching -- we have to find a way to play better. The reality of this is, coming here to Pittsburgh and being swept -- personally, I feel embarrassed." -- Carlos Beltran
