Carson Dominates Third Straight Start
8 IP, 4 H, 1 R, 3 K, 1 BB. Coming into the night, Carson had an outstanding 60.5 GB% in the SAL, and he added to that by recording 14 groundouts. In his last three starts, Carson has given up just 2 ER and 12 hits in 21 innings, though the 10/7 K/BB over that stretch indicates he's due for more than a little bit of regression. Still, he's been a groundball dominant pitcher in the SAL this year, and that trend could play pretty well in the FSL sooner than later.

Very nice
1 homerun allowed in 83.1 innings = awesomeness

Nice catch, didn't even notice that
He’s got some serious potential. I’m convincing myself that the Mets are just preaching strike throwing to him right now, and not having him worry about missing bats. He’ll have to adjust in the upper levels, most likely if/when he reaches Double-A. But you gotta love a two pitch lefty who throws in the low 90s and gets lots of groundballs.

Can't argue with the results,
and the age and lefty-ness is nice, but the numbers don’t jump out at me. Still, it’s always nice to see a pitcher bounce back after being hit in the head with a baseball.
