It doesn’t matter. The point of judging a player vs. “Replacement Level” is that pretty much any major league team could churn out a player about or below said level. Corey Sullivan is probably about as valuable as Jeff Francoeur. Wily Mo Pena, same deal, more similar profile even. Church was nothing special, but if you just want a warm body that can play every day, you don’t trade a somewhat useful player for it, you call that other player up from your crappy Triple-A team or you buy one from another team for $600k.
