What he [Jerry Manuel] is looking for is offense, and Francoeur, two and a half years removed from blasting a career-high 29 home runs, should help out.

If that's really our reasoning
why the hell don’t we just sign Barry Bonds? He hit 28 homers in ’07, and unlike Francouer he could probably STILL get on base at a .380 clip, minimum.
Hopefully Manuel will just ask Francour to bunt constantly

I think some of these guys are right
I bet Francoeur goes all Raul Ibanez on us and actually lives up to the lofty solid “meh” expectations left in Ryan Church’s wake. Karma is just messing with us because some Met fan stepped on a Butterfly in China or something.
That’s right, I just combined the cliche metaphor for Chaos Theory and the thing the New Agers stole from Buddhism. That’s how low I’m willing to go to mock this whole situation. As Herme’s would say, for me “That’s as lower than a limbo stick at carnival time, and that’s as low as limbo sticks get”.

That buttefly flapped its wings in 1969
the tidal wave came in 1986 and it’s just been flotsam and jetsam ever since.
