His final line: 5 IP, 3 ER, 5 H, 4 BB, 4 K. On a positive note, he didn't allow a run until a first-pitch homer in the 5th.

Adam Rubin says Ollie won't make anymore rehab starts, meaning he will probably start Wednesday vs. the Dodgers. Tim Redding will likely head to the bullpen, and either Elmer Dessens or Pat Misch will be sent packing.

Awesome

I’ll look forward to this much in the same way I’d look forward to a root canal.

Ugh

Look, I hope Ollie proves me wrong, and he certainly has the talent to do so, but I really don’t think he has the maturity to deal with his contract and bringing his talent to the next level.

I think it's different than that.

I don’t think his maturity is an issue at all. That’s just more grit, clutch, captain doublespeak. No, Ollie is just another consistently inconsistent pitcher who wows scouts with his stuff but just never has the command to use it successfully. And he will never justify his contract. Perez has been on a downward trend talent wise for years at this point.

But....but.....

He’s married! And 2007! And Sandy Koufax!
