i think only reds would be serious competition
and they are building for the future. so i think its doable. possibly may go as high as niese and murphy.
in my opinion parnell would make a better starter than niese anyway.
i think trades are going to happen soon.

Niese actually has success in the minors. Parnell never really did

sometimes players develop better in the majors.
parnell has been very good mostly. i know he is a bit wild but that is ok for a starter. 97 fast ball.

I wouldn’t trade Holliday for a decent starter and junk when I could have the 2 picks. It would take a good deal more than that I think.

pitching has been ok until recently.
a bit tired and need rest. but that can be because the pitchers get stressed knowing they have no hitting.
thats why you need a balance of pitching/hitting to win.

I think in many ways they have played above the talent considering the injuries but the defense has been poor all year
