That I think is the worst of the bunch

Reyes is all about his legs. Either shut him down for the season or get him ready. Don’t push him to get back when he’s not ready to.

the news about Reyes

more than the others because of the importance of his legs and his prior injury history (even though that was a long time ago I know) just send chills up my spine. How can they mishandle this player so badly?

Having seen this "team" live in person tonight, and given the info contained in this Post piece,

I’m ready to write this season off.

There’s no point in trading the farm if two of these three are not coming back any time soon (let alone Maine, Putz, whoever else is on the DL).

Get these guys healthy, bring up some kids to see how they play, and start looking ahead to 2010. They can try to fill in some of the missing pieces in the offseason.

The problem is

What kids? We have no one in AAA and there is no reason to start the clock on the guys in AA. the only one we can bring up is Niese (who should be up regardless of our position) and give F! (when he gets back) a starting job. Other than that, this is our 09 Mets.

Now tank the season and gets us Bryce Harper!!!!!!!!!!!!!
