If the Phils trade for Halladay, I hope they at least give up something of value rather than one of those “awesome player for nothing” trades that teams I hate always seem to make. (See, e.g., the Braves trading for Javier Vazquez.)

True that.

We are in trouble for the next few years if that happens.

2009 is already out the window in my book, but with a crappy class of Free Agents next year and an unwillingness to part with our top prospects, we could be in for a rough couple of years of that happens.

If I’m the Phillies, I do this deal in a second.

Everyone is entitled to be stupid, but Jerry abuses the privilege.

I dont know if they can get him if they have this “untouchable” list. Jays are going to want at least the top 3 MLB ready prospects they got. So hopefully Amaro sticks to what he’s saying about not letting go of his big prospects.

Anyone got more info on these “untouchable” prospects in Phili? Would that even be enough to get him anyways?
