Youkilis Charges Mound, Reaches Pitcher
As the commentators say in this clip, it seems pretty unusual for the hit batter to get as far as the pitcher and for them both to end up scrapping on the floor. FWIW I also think this was semi-accidental.
Anyway, while this was happening, the patented Worst Line Up Ever! was providing some *real* entertainment. Ho-hum.

I can't believe Youk threw the helmet.
That’s some lame-ass Guillermo Mota kind of nonsense.

Yes
-10 grission points for any helmet-throwing. But +20 for actually ending up wrestling on the floor.
-30 for getting caught in a pretty good takedown by the pitcher

That takedown
It was nice. I first thought the pitcher was gonna lose some teeth, but he flipped Yook pretty good. If not for the pile-on, someone was gonna get a loogie in his ear.
Grission and Husart - that is either the non-union Mexican equivelant of "Starsky and Hutch" or the key to winning the World Series.
I liked the helmet-throw.
Most guys just take their helmet off and chuck it behind them. I like that Youkilis put it to use.
And Porcello looked like a total puss when he tried to dodge the helmet.

I think if you're gonna use the helmet
it should be battering ram-style. Just go headfirst into the mid-section.

Helmet throw is totally bush
If you throw the helmet, it’s to get the pitcher in a defensive stance so you can take him down. Youk then proceeded to kind of whiff on the takedown.
Does everyone think porcello should have been tossed? was there a warning earlier?

Porcello
That’s a tough assessment of the guy when he bodyslammed Youkilis to the ground.

No way, Torino has that wrapped up for the decade.
I don’t blame Youk for getting pissed—he gets hit all the time (usually by Joba Chamberlain).

If you are going to charge the mound, you better bring it better than that
Youk looked awful on that takedown.
Hah.
Mr. Bad ass Grission beard got taken down by a kid who can’t legally drink a beer.

Both got suspended for 5 games.
Which I think is overkill for Porcello, at least.

I really love
How it’s safe to assume a pitcher is purposely throwing at a batter and punished as such, yet we cannot assume someone is using steroids, no matter how obvious it may be.
