Mike Silva Reaches a New Low
This blog item is fine until the very last paragraph where he leverages Scott Schoeneweis' year of personal turmoil to defend himself from attacks on his blog. Reprehensible.

That is basically my gut reaction lately.
Then, because I’ve had a few drinks and have read all of my other regular websites, I went ahead and read the post linked to here. Fuck that guy. What a douche with his implication of, “No one should say bad things about my shitty website and ridiculous opinions because of this terrible tragedy.” Fuck that. Scott Schoewenweis, regardless of what anyone felt about his ability as a pitcher, experienced a horrendous and very personal tragedy that still affects him. Mike Silva runs a sports-related website. Silva’s response to the first two comments there sealed the deal for me.
Can we just ignore Silva’s terrible website from this point forward? Please?

*Schoeneweis
I may have had a few drinks tonight but I still expect proper spelling from myself.

Haha Time Stamp lulz
I like that at 1:10 AM you weren’t going to read it but by 1:44 AM you had enough drinks to not only read it but write a brief rant about it. Sounds like you had a great half an hour while us employed people had to sleep.
Cumulative effect, I suppose
It all started much earlier, at the softball game.

Instead of linking to this guy,
maybe we could cut and paste some quotes so his website isn’t generating hits.

I like how the tag is Sliva is a douchelord.
Clever.
Just know, if there's ever a riot at Citi Field and Oliver Perez was the starter, I started the riot.
Boy I sure would like to read this link
But I just can’t bring myself to click through to Silva’s website.

Since I've already done it, I'll post the excerpt in question.
Obviously you have to separate the person from the player. The venom that gets spewed most certainly gets out of control. It amazes me how even sites like this get attacked personally for just stating an opinion. It’s baseball people, nothing more. You can take it seriously, but need to put it in its proper place. Next time you are angry and wish ill against a player, or another member of the baseball community, think about the Scott Schoeneweis situation. Hopefully it will give you pause and perspective. I know it did for me.

I will no longer link him
But I felt that this was relevant since a lot of that criticism he’s received was from here.
