This is just ridiculous, but not really surprising

Wags is expected back saturday though...
Hopefully he can clear waivers so he can be traded.

Well
He can still be a Type A free agent and he ain’t gonna take arbitration to be Frankie’s set up man.
"We must win and we must know how to win rather than win because we have statistical people."
not sure you are right about that
it could be very risky to offer Wagner arbitration to get him to type A, he might take it. While he may want to close, he wants a job first and foremost and I am not sure how many teams would risk making him their closer.
So he acepts arb at around 5 million top
and then we can trade him for a prospect or two. Even if they aren’t great, at least we get some value.

He's making 10.5 this season,
and there hasn’t been a case since the strike where a type A or B free agent went to arbitration and had their salary reduced. Expecting it to be cut in 1/2 will never happen…his 7 million dollar option will likely be cheaper than what he gets in arb.

It's not like he hurt his hip
it was his oblique.. so maybe he did something wrong or he’s just getting old (or maybe a combination of the two)

I think the org owes the fans an explanation for this
No Reyes
No Beltran
Now no Delgado.
It’s already mid August and this is the time they told everyone these guys would be returning. Just embarassing and if I bought tickets thinking they were coming back I’d be really pissed off right now.
Personally I said all season that Delgado was not going to make it back. I knew that Laproscopic hip surgery pretty much meant the end of his year. Doesn’t take a PHD to figure that out.
I sort of agree with you but
it is possible to come back from hip surgery fairly quickly, look at A-Rod. The problem is we have been lied to so often by this organization that they lose all credibilty even when they may be telling us the truth.
he did not see this coming?
"We're investigating the investigative procedure of the investigation of Tony Bernazard"---Omar Minaya (he really didn't say it but he would"
how did he strain it?
signing his paycheck at the bank?
you know omar would resign delgado for 3 yrs if he could.

Are we going to get emails from the organization explaining what the hell went wrong this year?
I don't need no instructions to know how to rock!
probably, those e-mails always make me laugh
but really is anyone surprised a first baseman suffering from severe aging and a hip injury isn’t going to come back this season?

I want that e-mail!
So I can print it out and frame it when (if?) they fire Omar in the offseason.
Just know, if there's ever a riot at Citi Field and Oliver Perez was the starter, I started the riot.
