Bobby Parnell as a starter?
So, small sample size notwithstanding, I really loved his line tonight. Not only that, his breaking pitches were working very well for him to night, particularly his slider which was downright filthy. Given that his last start was about as different as night and day and to steal a line from SNY, Bobby Parnell could be a good #4-5 starter, Boom or Bust? I haven't made up my mind yet, and I'm curious as to what you all think

Read my FanPost.
Summary: Let’s not get too excited, but there ARE some legitimate changes that Parnell made to improve his chances at being a long term starter (which are still kinda low, but rising).

Remember the opponent
The Giants are made-to-order for Bobby Parnell. They’re predominately right handed and swing at everything. They’re wont to chase his slider out of the zone and pound his sinker to the ground.
Still, hats off to him. Whenever a pitcher posts a 7K/0BB game, it’s worthy of praise.

So we are all in agreement then.
Nice start for The Blue-Eyed Wonder but it’s only one start. Let’s see him do it again.
mostly what I'm thinking as well
but damn if I’m not encouraged by this one, All Shook Down’s point about the Giants not withstanding
