Farve Watch
At least i can have a good laugh watching Ollie pitch the Farve thing is getting annoying
by Jadden Hopkins on Aug 18, 2009 6:29 PM EDT up reply actions
Burt Furve
I’d say watching Ollie is more depressing and infuriating than it is annoying. This whole Furve business is just beating a dead horse.
Ironically, Favre is probably as bad at QB these days as Perez is at pitching.
This season has been a mess
But nothing would make be happier then us sweeping the braves and put a holt to their post-season hopes

Braves scouting report for you guys
Lineup:
1. Infante-2B: Just came off the DL a few days ago; GW hit on Saturday.
2. Prado-1B: One of the team MVPs since June 1st; Is a little banged up and has been
“dizzy” since last saturday.
3. Chipper-3B: Your favorite player in the whole wide world!
4. McCann-C: Power and average numbers are down this season, but they still aren’t bad. Has been smashing the ball lately.
5. Escobar-SS: 4 – 26 w/ 6 K’s after being one of the best hitters in baseball in July; great defense.
6. Anderson-LF: Was slumping badly in July but turned it around thus far in August; horrible fielding
7. Diaz-RF: Well, he’s facing a lefty tonight, so he’ll have 3 hits with 5rbi…no seriously, he KILLS lefties. He just cant hit righties for shit. Also, a weak arm in RF.
8. Church-CF: Solid #8 hitter; wasnt hitting with RISP until he hit a 2 out, 3rbi double yesterday.
9. Lowe-P: Pretty good bunter.
McLouth is on the DL with a strained hammy and LaRoche is getting the night off.
Our closer, Rafeal Soriano, who was one of the best in the NL the 1st half, has blown 3/4 saves and has a sore shoulder.
DLowe had a stretch in June and early July when he went 0-4 w/ a 8.50ERA. Since then: 5-0 w/ a 2.89 ERA. He’s probably been our 3rd best pitcher this season behind Vazquez and Jurrjens (with Hanson closing in on him). If his sinker is consistently hitting the outside corner, he’ll be great. If not…uhhh, it’ll be a long night for the Braves.
Hope this helps. GO BRAVES =)

haha im sorry about your season guys. Trust me…the Braves pitching had so many injuries last season it was like a betting game on who would hit the DL next. THings do get better.

Was Evans called up today?
Or are they playing a man short until Wagner shows up and we can have 13 pitchers?
They needed a middle infielder...Evans wasn't the guy

Valdez
Has never been the guy for any major league team.
He's at least a decent defender at short...
The Mets really needed another MI with Hernandez and Castillo as our only options. Evans should have come up over Green, but Valdez should have been the replacement for Cora.

i don't think so
Francoeur also played football, leading Parkview to two undefeated state championship seasons in 2000 and 2001. In his junior year at Parkview, Francoeur pulled in 15 interceptions while catching 14 touchdown passes. Francoeur turned down a full football scholarship at Clemson University to pursue a career in baseball despite having signed a Letter of Intent. Jeff had football scholarship offers to numerous powerhouse programs yet chose the average Clemson program due to being allowed to play both baseball and football.
This leads me to believe he was a WR/CB
