Seriously though, this is beyond ridiculous. I hope not to see Mike Pelfrey get the yips on the mound, avoid balking and break his leg. Or K-Rod’s arm come completely out the socket while pitching that 89 MPH fastball he is famous rich for. “What’s N-X-E-T?”

You know it’s been bad when I consider this good news. I was expecting Tommy John surgery and 2010 being lost. Or, given how this year has gone for the Mets, a rare aggressive elbow cancer that is untreatable, giving Johan 6 months to live.
