i thought it would be even smaller then that…. what’s the point of even watching games this year with no wright, no wagner, no johan, no putz, no f-mart, no reyes, no beltran, no delgado?

Oh Sam, 6 minutes too late...
…but hey, Brad Como rocks, huh?
I would have deleted mine
but you didn’t link to the status, you linked to the whole page.
King of the bling come to lay down the evidence//Not George Bush, L-Millz be da president
yup
I have been itching to bench him for a few weeks though. I brought up hanson to replace him but should have done it after Johan’s last start. I missed hanson’s last nice outing. And now he faces the Phils in Citizen’s Bandbox.
As a fan very glad it doesn’t seem to be much. But this is the Mets and now i don’t trust their reports at all. They may be pulling a Weekend at Bernies and putting Johan’s corpse out there to drum up some trade interest.
Yep, i just got fucked

And 3 in every 12 fantasy managers
just jumped for joy!
Just know, if there's ever a riot at Citi Field and Oliver Perez was the starter, I started the riot.
In a strange way
I’m a little relieved to know that he was hurt. He was starting to suck pretty bad (by Johan standards) and I’d like to think that he’s not in the middle of a steep decline but was actually just hurt.
i completely agree

so santana
with a bad back, coming off knee surgery, and an elbow needing surgery managed to put up a 3.13 ERA.
bad ass motherfucker.

Some might call it gangsta.
You don't cheer for the Mets. You drink for the Mets.
i never thought i'd be happy to hear our ace is getting benched for the season
now wrap everyone else in bubble wrap and call it a season

That would be great
We’d get to draft Bryce Harper next year too.
Ollie is hurt now too

It's time, we've waiting long enough
Let Socks off his leash and he will break Orel Hershiser’s scoreless inning streak by Sept. 30th. Heck, he could start the next 6 games and have the record by Sunday.
As Brian Schneider would say when popping up for the 187th time...
… FUCK!!!!
Seriously though, this is beyond ridiculous. I hope not to see Mike Pelfrey get the yips on the mound, avoid balking and break his leg. Or K-Rod’s arm come completely out the socket while pitching that 89 MPH fastball he is famous rich for. “What’s N-X-E-T?”
another fireable offense for Manuel and Omar
letting Santana pitch this long in a lost cause with a balky elbow.

This season
You know it’s been bad when I consider this good news. I was expecting Tommy John surgery and 2010 being lost. Or, given how this year has gone for the Mets, a rare aggressive elbow cancer that is untreatable, giving Johan 6 months to live.
Somehow, a chain of events unfolded that put Steve Phillips in a professional broadcast booth Sunday night so he could rip Carlos Beltran. Try to explain that in any other terms.

According to MetsBlog, he is intense
No word on if he means business, though.
great
Who needs talent when you’re overloaded with intensity?

Christ
So we only have 4 good players, Johan, Wright, Beltran, Reyes.
Beltran sounds like he has some permanent, career-threatening knee problem, talking about some new experimental micro-fracture surgery.
Reyes missed pretty much the entire season with numerous leg problems. And oh yeah, 99% of his value is in his legs.
Johan is having elbow surgery.
Honestly, I have no confidence that any of those three guys is going to be 100% in 2010. All three could miss most of the season, easily.
This is f-ing crazy.
well dec. 10, 2012 is after the WS
so it could all work out well for us… The mets could have the last pre-apocalyptic world series… we do have a tendency for making history in the worst possible ways.
