Mets Community Prospect List: #17 RUNOFF! (My bad!)
Hey guys, sorry for the gap in the Community list. I wanted to try to let #17 separate out a bit so I could at least do a real runoff, got sidetracked with all the craptacularness of the big league team, and wound up going camping for five days. But now I'm back, so lets pick up where we left off.
With a virtual tie between Francisco Pena (12 votes) and Dillon Gee (11 votes) we have ourselves a third runoff. Here's how the list looks so far:
- Fernando Martinez
- Jenrry Meija
- Brad Holt
- Wilmer Flores
- Jonathon Niese
- Reese Havens
- Josh Thole
- Ike Davis
- Ruben Tejada
- Jefry Marte
- Jeurys Familia
- Kirk Nieuwenhuis
- Brant Rustich
- Robert Carson
- Kyle Allen
- Scott Moviel
For the runoff, only the two names will be posted in the poll. A one vote difference will be counted this time around, so consider your vote carefully, as this is an opportunity to change your mind, and an opportunity for those who voted for others to throw their hat into the Pena vs. Gee ring. Afterward, the winner will be added to the list and the loser will be thrown back in with the group of candidates for round 18. If its a landslide, I will close the poll early and move on to round 18. Otherwise, I will let the poll run through the night and see where we are tomorrow afternoon. Happy voting!

I can't decide who's worse.

Nope
Unless I missed something while I was away, he avoided the surgery in favor of rehab. If not for the injury, he would surely be higher up anyway, but the fact that he avoided surgery can only be a good thing.

Just know, if there's ever a riot at Citi Field and Oliver Perez was the starter, I started the riot.

What about this guy?
Has anyone seen the numbers Brandon Moore has been putting up at Brooklyn? Pretty impressive. High K rate, low whip, nice numbers.

Moore

he's kind of old for the NY Penn
and his numbers aren’t that good all things considered.

See your point on age, but almost a 4 to 1 K to BB ratio
warrants some attention. He should be promoted at least, anyway.

I liked Moore
when they drafted him last year. Was a little surprised they didn’t find a spot for him on one of the full season teams. He is repeating the league, and he’s a little old, but those numbers are still awfully impressive and he’s got decent stuff. I’ve been pulling for him.

Lutz
I hope Lutz is on the next poll. He’s been rising up my list the last month.
Here, it would be close for me if I were sure Gee was healthy. With a labrum tear to recover from there, I have to go with Pena.

Lutz is on the poll already (just not the runoff)
And he’s the guy I’ve been voting for for quite a few rounds now, I thought his uneven first half looked fishy to begin with. Decent HR/FB but low ISO due to lack of doubles (just three through May).
