Ugh
I hate the overhead shots when they play at this field. I can never see the ball…..

Well,
it wasn’t until the replay – and regular shot – that I could even see what happened on that play.
I have no idea why they think that overhead shot coming wherever is better….

Crap.
Almost. Francoeur has a hell of an arm. Now if he could just hit his target…

Well, that says it all.
This time last two years we were all eating Rolaids like candy. As bad as that was, I’d like to be going through that again this year…..

Classic
This guy will epitomize the agony that can swamp Met fans for years to come.
Just clicked the link metsguy gave below and read this guys bio. Very interesting so thanks….
Remind me to never do anything that would ever remotely result in my face being plastered all over the news as the poster person for being a NY Met fan. I’ll pass on my 15 minutes of fame, thanks anyway….

I'm starting to doubt whether or not he was actually the PTBNL.
Thats an awfully big risk for the Sox to take, he can’t be recalled from waivers this time.

It depends who the 2nd ptbnl is.
Carter wasn’t a good haul anyway, so a younger guy with some upside would be nice.

the original reports were two GCL kids before the Carter rumors surfaced.
It’s still possible they were correct.

Or this one?

Either would make this trade look pretty good to me.

I saw that a little while ago.
Didn’t take long to get 75+ comments on that post…..

Gogo Jerryball
You don't cheer for the Mets. You drink for the Mets.
Gotta love these bunts...
NOT.
Thankfully, Pagan moved them along but with Pagan, I would have swung away.

You know...
when Tatis sees he isn’t getting that ball by stretching to stay on first, why doesn’t he come off the base a little and at least stop it from getting by him and the runner winding up on 2nd?
I know that throw wasn’t on him, but just saying…
by MetsFan4Decades on Sep 28, 2009 8:24 PM EDT reply actions
Tatis is not a real first baseman.
I think Wright should just sit out the rest of the year, go hang with his girl, and come back with a fresh outlook in February.
Ah, who needs the post season? the 162 is what baseball is all about. The playoffs are just a marketing fabrication that really mean nothing.
Ops
Sorry, my sarcasm meter obviously not turned on….

imagine we're in the playoff race
I might have a reason to tell my girlfriend why I still care

Is there some rule
that says everytime we tie a game, or take a lead, we have to give it right back ?.
can’t we just hold on to a tie or a lead for more than 1 inning ?.
Anyone care to make a guess how many games we lost because of:
1. injuries
2. lack of talent
3. poor managing/coaching
4. bad luck
5. lack of pitching depth
you forgot this...

LOL.
So as usual, I’m entertaining myself reading the Phil fans whine and panic on their blogs tonight as they’re currently losing 6-2. Looks like their lead will be down to 4 tonight with 6 games to play.
Given that fact that the Braves – if they hold onto their lead tonight – will be 15 for their last 17, I’d be worried too.
How I’d love to see that collapse happen.
by MetsFan4Decades on Sep 28, 2009 9:10 PM EDT up reply actions
Down 8-2 now.
No way are Phils repeating. Their pitching is current awful and their offense is on siesta.

at midseason the mets had
3 of the top 5 not top ten plays. it was fmart falling, castillo, and church. the murphy and pelfrey’s miscues might have been in it, but not in the top 5 at least
He just doesn't add anything. I find his reports more boring than informative. The good news is that they are short.
I find it entertaining
when he starts doing play by play in the middle of an interview

I just got back from this game
I had a great seat right above the Mets bullpen. I also went to BP for the first time ever and that was extremely cool. Sheffield hits the ball unbelievably hard.
