As for Manuel, forget it. He stays. Given the incredible run of injuries and other issues with the Mets this season, John McGraw would have lost with this bunch. There are far more significant issues than the manager's chair.

there are also far less significant issues
well its true that Jerry isn’t the worst of a horrendous season, he’s also not anywhere near the bright end of the spectrum. Jerryball has definitely cost us at least some games this year

Technically, he's right
The injuries are not his fault, although you could make an argument that his spring training might have been the start of this trouble coupled with the WBC. Neither is the depth provided to him by Omar.
But, he has his own problems, like calling out players randomly, putting together lineups that make no sense given the talent he’s working with, and in-game strategies (bunting, for example). These are the things, not injuries or lack of depth, that should be looked at when discussing Jerry’s future.
Just know, if there's ever a riot at Citi Field and Oliver Perez was the starter, I started the riot.
once in a while
tim mccarver offers a glimmer of what used to make him good as a broadcaster. for instance over the weekend the game he and joe buck called, they offered a graphic of the staggering number of players jerry has started at each position and used over 100 lineups for the year.
of course that’s attributed to “injuries” and not the real reason, that jerry is the master tinkerer and hates consistency.

that I probably saw because it was linked here — what you will come to hate about him is his fetish for inserting himself into games.
