Run for cover. Save yourselves !
Also, Maine has agreed to terms with the Mets, (3.3 million) thus avoiding arbitration.

optimistic
he’ll likely end up on the DL from an injury sustained during the physical before we sign him.

I didn't know grission can put you on the DL.
The 2010 New York Mets: Maybe it's the Phillies' turn to have 95% of its roster on the DL

grission overload is a serious problem
symptoms include a dirty jersey, a winning attitude, being a gamer, a percieved increase in player value to Mets management, and having intangibles.

Question for fxcarden...
Do you play fantasy baseball? I’m looking for one more player for my league next year.
he probably wouldn't want to but i would.

More interesting is Maine.
Here’s hoping he doesn’t pull a Carl Pavano with those $3.3 million dollars.

weak comparison
You could do so much better.
so Eric Brynes
is DFA’d and the D’Backs are on the hook for his ’10 salary. Mets can sign him for the league minimum ala the 09 Gary Sheffield.
Might not be a bad idea for the Mets to take a $400,000 flyer on him if he’ll accept being the 4th OF. He’s always been one of the best defensive OFs in the game, even while playing on weak legs the past two years.
The biggest question mark would be what’s left in his bat. Before the hammy’s, he was an offensive force in 06 and 07.
