Halladay FTW again.
Around MLB
The Giants couldn't do it last night, sending the NLCS back to Philadelphia and keeping a repeat of my 2009 nightmare a possibility. Of course, what Philadelphia win would be complete without a little Jayson Stark gushing. Oh yeah, and then there was this crazy lady singing God Bless America.
I'm not done with the Philly links quite yet. There are two Philly fan things and one Cole Hamels thing to send your way first. The red spandex guy who jumped on the field awhile back has been sentenced to 80 hours of community service. Also, a Philly reader e-mails Hardballtalk to explain the whole booing Santa Claus story. And, most entertainingly, Ted Berg has an updated Cole Hamels gallery.
Sandy Alderson picked up two key internet endorsements in his campaign to become the next Met general Manager. Here's Matt Cerrone's. And here's Patrick Flood's. Should Alderson get the job (or whoever becomes the next GM), he will have to re-evaluate the whole farm system organization.
Jeff Wilpon has a letter to the public out regarding the GM search.
Mack is pretty impressed with Savannah pitcher Robert Carson.
And, finally, Bryce Harper's first professional hit brought to you by the double rainbow guy.
