Sandy, The Fact-Based GM

Perfect candidate Mets chose

Eschews game's superstition

Things you suspect, Sandy knows

All the old-school baseball men

Used to laugh and call him names

But then their smiles faded

When Sandy kept winning games

Then one rainy day in Queens

The Wilpons came to say:

"Sandy, with your mind so bright

Won't you guide our team tonight?"

Soon all Mets fans will love him

and they'll all shout out in glee

"Sandy, The Fact-Based GM

You'll go down in history!"
