FanGraph's take on our system
This is what I got out of it:
"Therefore, a reasonably insane Mets fan can assume that Flores should be good for a .311/.383/.542 production throughout his team-controlled seasons, presumably beginning in mid-2012."
And here's their Top 10 for us

So they're projecting Flores to have a Hall of Fame bat, as soon as the All-Star break
in 2012? Seems reasonable to me.
They have the Mets “Minor League Power Ranking” as 27th out of 30. Does that mean what I think it means? They also list Captain Kirk, whom the very credible and intelligent John Sickels projects most likely as a 4th OFer, as the Mets second best prospect.
My balloon has burst, big time.
In case anybody didn't click through
the “reasonably insane” thing is how fangraphs put it, i.e. they don’t really project that, i.e. killjoys.

It's a bit of un needed snarkiness.
He’s in A ball. Obviously his projections are anywhere between AAA lifer to All Star, no different than any other top hitting prospect at the lower levels.
Does that mean we have the 27th ranked farm system?
The SNY guys keep calling it “middle of the pack”
When R.A. Dickey was asked Wednesday if he had an opinion on some teammates not going, he said, "I do have thoughts on that. I don’t want to make them public." He said he had not talked to any of the players who did not attend, but noted that he found the experience worthwhile.
"To be able to look a guy in the eye who doesn’t have arms or legs and say, ‘Thank you,’ that’s a big deal," Dickey said. "I take it personally."
Out lack of pitching depth makes it hard to argue for our system in the top half
But 27th? I think we have enough high upside bats/gloves in the system to rate a little higher. I guess the argument is we only have a couple guys at AAA with the promotions of Mejia/Thole/Ike.
That and they pretty much disregard Duda entirely.
Save Jenrry Mejia!

I've made the Flores = Miggy comparison before
they really do have similar profiles. Obviously not every player who profiles similar to Cabrera is gonna turn into a HOF-type hitter, but Flores clearly has that ceiling. I’d be perfectly happy with him turning into 75% of the hitter Cabrera is, which is still an All-Star.
2009 Did Not Happen
If he's not at least twice the player Cabrera is, I'll be disappointed
Is it too much to want just one Met’s hitter to be one of the top 5 hitters of all time? We already have a top 5 pitcher ever.
And doing so before his 21st birthday is an absolute must
Otherwise he’s a bust.

They followed up with a top 10

One of the decent aspects of the system is the plethora of B-/C+ guys who could have value, but who aren’t in this top ten: Duda, Ratliff, Lutz, Campbell, Cecilliani, etc.
