So basically, we're back to 2006 in regards to GM stupidity
When should we expect the 7 year, $126 million deal for De La Rosa???
Just imagine what Omar would’ve done at this point….
There is no hope.... there is no future....there is only GRISSIONZ
The 2011 Mets- Rock bottom: We haven't reached it yet
Cain 'OR' Bumgarner?
This is Sabean we’re talking about.
And, it’s probably just some observation bias, but is it me, or do players cycle around different teams in the NL West more so than any other division?

Probably observation bias, but I have it too
I keep thinking that [Player] is a [Dodger/Giant] when he’s actually the other.
Between Greg Maddox in those later years, Jason Schmidt, Brad Penny, Jose Vizcaino, Ricky Ledee,
Orel Hershiser, Jeff Kent, Russ Ortiz, Steve Finley…There’s probably more, but those are the only ones I could think of, after sitting down and thinking about it.
Juan Uribe now

KAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHNNNNNNNNNNN!!!
Carter, hand me my thinking grenades!
I think we can say that based on this contract and
the Ted Lilly contract, among other terrible moves by the Dodgers, that Ned Coletti has just officially challenged Dayton Moore to “The Contest: Part II”. God Coletti is terrible.

Although I don't really like Coletti's contracts
I see what he’s doing. It’s kind of the Yankees strategy in that he’s overpaying for good players that will actually improve the team (except that the Yankees could afford better players). I think it will work to a degree. Uribe is pretty decent, an improvement for them. Lilly is very good, even if he’s overpaid.
i don't think the words very, good and Ted Lilly
belong in a sentence.
Also the dodgers are likely going to be sold, or at least are going broke, overspending on talent is probably the last thing they should do. And part of the reason they were so bad last year with a big payroll.

Don’t worry, there isn’t a ton of talent involved.

Lilly's pretty decent

Overpaid, and not worth the time/money he’s going to be getting, but it definitley has above average value, looking only at his numbers. Hell, he projects better next season to be better or thereabouts than everyone we have on the roster right now.

yeah, this.
3 years for 21 million is way too much for Juan Uribe who has a career OBP of exactly .300, even if his power is solid. I see this deal as a huge overpay based on the guy’s playoff hype.

And once we trade Reyes who do you propose plays shortstop?
Please don’t tell me you want a middle infield of Flores and Castillo. Please.
Gas prices today are a lot like a pitcher's ERA. Anything under 3 is amazing, under 4 is pretty good and anything 5 and up is something you want to avoid.
Tejada/Duda middle infield
Or Eckstein/AHern

Flores?
Why would he even be considered. Besides the fact that he’s not going to be a SS, he’s not even close to the top of the depth chart there right now.

It makes sense if they are demoting Castillo to St. Lucie.

if Omar were here, he’d jump at Juan Uribe (probably)
