This evening as I was reading Matthew Callan's post about the difference between reality and assumption on the issue of PEDs and GMs, I had a thought: we follow a New York team, and New York retains some of the best and most varied traditional media in the world (if not especially thoughtful at times) yet the guys from the papers didn't do homework that a guy from a blog who does this basically for free did. I believe in a free market and that those who care will find the best source for information. Do folks think that Sandy has realized that the best way to approach NY is to deal with people who will analyze rather than react? If he does, it might serve him well, as my feeling is that the papers and radio guys have gotten lazy and complacent, and won't sift through information to get a story, but rather think "Canseco!! ZOMG" and without knowing make a fool of themselves.
