An Idea for K-Vest Avoidance

(Link goes to Cot's Contracts.) Apparently, K-Rod has a limited no-trade clause, allowing him to block trades to 10 teams. Well, let's say on July 31, he has 42 games finished, much like he did this past year. Could we trade him, the rest of his salary (roughly $3.5M) and his buyout (another $3.5M) to a contending team in need of a set-up man? The other team would get an eiite set-up man with no risk of having that option vest; we'd be free of a $17.5M commitment.
