Do they need one in this dull and pathetic season? If it exists, it should probably be canceled.
Maybe they can pre-empt SNY Hot Stove with "Where in the World of Citi Field is Kevin BurkDiego?" Contestants will be shown past clips of Mets games and need to guess where in Citifield Kevin did his spots from. The winner gets to lick the fryers at the Shake Shack.
Or they can just replay an endless loop of Keith Hernandez passed out on his desk, this can air until Spring Training begins.
Or even better yet, Sandy Alderson can do his own Stand Up Comedy special where he trashes every other off-season deal by every other team.
Here's a preview of Sandy's comedy material ---
"Nats signed Werth for $100 Million? Whoa, I thought they were trying to reduce the deficit in Washington" (laugh track)
"Phillies signed Lee for 5 yrs $120 Million? Whoa, what are cheesesteaks going for nowadays?" (laugh track)
"Crawford got $100 million to open up a bookstore? Whoa, somebody can use a Kindle for Christmas" (laugh track).
"Hey, anyone here from out of town? Me and Paulie DePodesta are...and we plan on keeping it that way! This NYC weather stinks! (roar laugh track)
Anyone have anymore show ideas?
