Diamondbacks to sign J.J. Putz - AZ Snakepit
Lots of former Met relievers on the market. Putz was injured with the Mets in 2009 and awesome with the White Sox in 2010. The deal appears to be for two years and $10 million, which is pretty reasonable if Putz is going to close.

That's too much money for this guy
Especially given his injury history – they should’ve looked into Wood
Yeah...
because Kerry Wood’s injury history is totally clean. That guy's never been injured.

I nearly included him in my AAOP instead of Jenks but
realized that he’d probably get a closers role elsewhere. I really wanted the Mets to bring him back last year on a cheaper deal but what’re you going to do. It just kills me…all of those players and prospects for an awful year of Jeremy Reed and Sean Green. Ugh.

Don't forget the Jeremy Reed at first base "experiment"
Carter, hand me my thinking grenades!
Time will tell if Arizona gives him a physical-
Arizona was interested in giving Omar Minaya a job, were they not?
