Who else here is JUICED for the season to start?!?!
I know a lot of us are ready to start 2010, but some are still down and not optimistic. Well, I don't share that view -- I AM PUMPED! Let me tell you why. :-)
I am ecstatic to see Jason Bay in left field! No more platoons and no more Daniel Murphy making me cringe when I watch ESPN. We have a super-solid, power-hitting, bonified star there now.
I am psyched that Johan feels great and his arm is no longer a problem. I can't wait to see the TRUE Johan every 5 days and not the "Where was April Johan?" Johan!
I am juiced to see Oliver Perez reset his season. He drives me batty with his walks, but we all know he's not as bad as we saw him last year. It was a bad signing, but he can still be a quality starter yet and I'm ready to see him do it!
I am jazzed to see JOSE FREAKIN REYES back in the lineup!
I am drunk with happiness to see Beltran's knee feels much better! I'll miss him in April, but knowing he'll be there soon enough with all his friends, I love it!
I am ready to see K-Rod put together another great season!
I am stoked to see Pelfrey again and see what he can do this year.
I am optimistic we'll see Wright's power return!
I am embiggened to see NO Brian Schneider and our new stable of catchers...especially Henry Blanco for whom I share a last name. :-)
AND I am super-psyched to see some of our young guns make a step up and see the potential of Fernando Martinez, Ike Walker, and Josh Thole!
And to top it off the Mets are HERE in Colorado in April! SO CLOSE!
2009 IS FINALLY GONE!
THE METS ARE 0-0 AND CONTENDING! :-D
LET'S GO METS! LET'S GO METS! LET'S GO METS! LET'S GO METS!
Now, who is with me? :-)

you mean Ike Davis?
I’m excited for the season to start even though I’m not at all optimistic about how it will go. I’ll just be glad to see baseball again. Point I disagree on, that BB-rod will have a good season, point I agree on, Perez bounces back this year.

This is clearly parody.
No way is ZaBlanc going to miss Carlos Beltran.

I am also stoked
This off-season has seemed mighty long. (Perhaps because it started early.)
Even a bad baseball game is better than pretty much anything else.
I hope the whole Mets team is juiced for the season
considering last year they became only the 2nd team this century to hit less than 100 homeruns.

Fouthded
Gas prices today are a lot like a pitcher's ERA. Anything under 3 is amazing, under 4 is pretty good and anything 5 and up is something you want to avoid.

Fifthed
The 2010 New York Mets: Maybe it's the Phillies' turn to have 95% of its roster on the DL
The 2009 New England Patriots: At least we got our division title back
The 2009-10 New Jersey Devils: Allergic to second periods
I'm not that pessimistic, I'm just expecting the worst so I can't be disappointed.
Yet this method was proven a failure last year when the Mets were worse than the worst.

You're still young
You haven’t seen the worst yet.
And I can’t wait to see Ike Walker!
You don't cheer for the Mets. You drink for the Mets.
Me too!
Nice to have a Hall of Famer on the team.

I can't wait to see Ike Turner
Sure, he’s dead, but Tina would probably say he can still hit.

Couldn't agree more
This is the time of year to leave behind the depressing world of reality and CHONE projections.
I can’t wait for:
Ryota Mania
Beltran playing with chip on shoulder, not in knee
A healthy Reyes dominating all year
Niese having a breakout year
Wright having a bounceback year
Ollie… well, let’s not get crazy
I'm excited
Win or lose, we still have 162 games of baseball to play, and I get to stop pretending I seriously follow the Rangers because the Knicks are so terrible and no one else is playing right now. Woohoo NY Sports.

Sorry to put a damper on your day but
Jason Bay’s defense in left is no better than Daniel Murphy’s.

k-rod great season?
like the one where he had a 4.01 FIP, 4.32 xFIP and a tRA of 3.84?

All but one.
If I’d posted them, I’d have gotten Best Foreign Language Film and Cinematography wrong, though. I expected The White Ribbon and The Hurt Locker, respectively.
