Yeah, I don't get this "out of money" stuff.
So were the offers to Pineiro and Molina fake? Had they both accepted, it’d have been around 12.5 million additional dollars, no? And it isn’t like we’ve made a significant financial commitment to anyone since those two signed elsewhere. I think saying the Mets don’t have money is just the cool thing to do right now.
i still think that the Wilpons basically gave Omar the money
with the understanding that it woiuld only be spent towards those players for whatever reason. I can’t see any other reason why as soon as both went off the table, we were suddenly out of money.

Gas prices today are a lot like a pitcher's ERA. Anything under 3 is amazing, under 4 is pretty good and anything 5 and up is something you want to avoid.
