Amazin' Avenue Fantasy League Participants

The following users, pending confirmation were selected to the Amazin' Avenue Commissioner League at CBSSports.com If I didn't pick you, it's nothing personal. Many great users volunteered and I had to pick somewhat at random.

  • Evan_S
  • robcast23
  • sokojoe
  • pricedoutoftheciti
  • englishgrey
  • Mark Himmelstein
  • kendynamo
  • preach19
  • firejerrynow
  • Jamesir Bensonmum
  • EtSuke

Those users who entered and weren't picked could form a league of their own and I can promise the winner of that league a spot next year (or first reserve if this becomes a keeper league). Anyone who wants to start a commissioner league at half price through AA can do so by clicking this link.

I'll post the rules as soon as I get email confirmation from a few more participants. The draft could be either this Friday or Saturday, reply here or via email as to which you prefer.

I said my preferences in the email

Not that i care too much, as long as everyone else is happy I’m good. As for the draft, either Friday or Saturday is fine. In a perfect world we could do this draft at like 2 in the morning, but I’m pretty sure I’m the only one up at that time on a regular basis. Anytime from like noon and later should be fine for Friday, Saturdays for me are more unclear but if that’s the only day everyone can do it, I’ll find a way.

The draft, I assume, will be a live standard draft, or does anyone want to try an auction draft? If we do an auction draft, I’m pretty sure I could get you to spend $50 on Milledge and Mark spend $40 on Havens, so that’ll give me a leg up. I did a mock one on ESPN and thought it was pretty interesting. I liked it, but didn’t love it. It certainly makes drafting that much harder, just curious what everyone else thinks.

I liked the idea of making it NL-only since there is only 12 of us.

Also, with fresh teams I like the standard draft but if this does turn into a keeper league, dollar value FA system is fun. As for this weekend, I can make anytime Fri or Sat work, just avoiding the hours of 9-5 Friday would be preferred.

I'd prefer AL NL

But if most people want NL only, that’s fine. I do like the idea of a keeper league though, every decision would be that much more important. It is a bit of a commitment I’d imagine, it may be hard to get 12 people on board.

I'm on board for a keeper league.

I’ve a few auction drafts and they’re very cool. They have a lot more strategy which makes it interesting. Every time a few people spend all of their money in about 2 minutes. Auctions also take about 3 hours, which is kind of a pain.

If its Friday, I'm no good until after 4:30

Midterms, blah. Also prefer not too late either day, since there’s a very good chance I’m going to need some old fashion consciousness alteration to make up for spending St. Paddy’s day studying.
