A Modest Jenrry Mejia Rally
SNY's SportsNite broadcasts live every night at 10. So, this Friday, Sam and I will be holding up a couple of signs in the windows of the studios protesting Mejia's call up. If you're in the city and are feeling somewhat irrational, you should stop by. Otherwise, watch us attempt to get some air time this Friday.

I was all for him making the roster
but many are right that he needs to work on his secondary pitches in the minors. What’s funny is that Manuel said he was’nt pleased when Mejia was throwing his secondary pitches and he just wanted him to throw the fastball. Manuel is looking for a short fix in him making the roster. If Manuel had a 3 yr deal and job security NO Way does he make this team. Its a get off to a good start now save my job mentality and this hurts the Mets in the years to come.
What's more frightening
is that Omar and Jerry seem to really think that a couple of solid bullpen appearances from Meija is what’s going to make the difference for this team being competitive.

it's Omar's world, we're just livin in it.
Oh, shit, it's on.
I might just show, since Friday night in the city is also an opportune time to go drinking.

I really wish I could
Band practice isn’t TOO far from there, like 15 blocks. Maybe I can say I’m going for a beer run and swing by.

You should
The beginning of the show, at 10, may be the best time—we might get the most airtime then. I’m concerned that there will be mostly highlights along with video graphics to block us in the windows. The Million Manny March took place during Mets Hot Stove, which definitely provided more airtime than we could get on SportsNite.
But all we can do is try.

I've been referenced on Metsblog
and now there are a ton of people who know about this. It’s actually an event. Some of these comments are great.

Although I too am worried about teh Mets messing this kid up … I am more worried about the people who will rally at SNY over this.
The commenter later adds:
I think they will shrug off the rally and people who want to get their face on TV and then meet at a bar afterwards. At least I hope that is the real motivation of these rally monkeys.

Scanning that, I finally found people who actually support Mejia being used in this way.
Why does it not surprise me that it’s at Metsblog?
