That's exactly what I thought.

Yeah but he was one of the possible high upside guys we took a flyer on
now we’re releasing him for a 32 year old without even giving him a chance to do anything?

i wanted to see everts get a shot as much as anybody
but i feel this is just a case of the #‘s game, not bad management. they’ve been wanting/needing a second lefty for a while now and in the best interest of feliciano’s arm, i can’t blame them for taking valdes over everts.

But if they hadn't added Meija, Tejada, F-cats and Jacobs (the last two especially)
they wouldn’t have had to dfa figgy or everts.

And now what bullpen/starting depth do we have left in AAA
if someone goes down?

I’m assuming the plan is to have Nieve or Tak take a start when someone goes down.

but if they're both in the bullpen
1 inning a game regularly neither will be stretched out. And if one of them does move into the rotation who takes their spot in the bullpen?
in billionaire russian playboys we trust.
Having both been starters
One would think they can get stretched out rather quickly, say once around the rotation.

Gee pitched well today
He was probably next in line last year before he got injured, so he may be the next to get a shot. Him or Stoner I’d imagine. By the way, Gee pitched 6, gave up 2 hits, no walks and 4 Ks.
I'm pretty sure he was already in AAA
to add Valdes to the 40 we had to dfa Everts so now he has to go through waivers.
