Well let’s start with a swing by swing analysis Ike Davis vs. David Wright. As you see to me Ike has that true sluggers swing where brings the ball to the air his swing is fit for low to middle of the plate pitches great also for an inside pitch but susceptible to an outside one. As you see most hitters who are sluggers have their bat away from their shoulder at the start ex Mark Teixiera, Albert Pujols. Now for David Wright he has a line drive swing which is can see is closer to his shoulder at the start of a swing. David swing makes his strengths the ball that is up and the middle and makes susceptible to the ball inside and outside.Ex of hitter Jason Bay, Matt Holliday.
As you may have seen David Wright swing has changed since 2006 i think for the worse. I remember that he could hit almost any ball anywhere it was. He looks more crouched and more apart from the legs and he looks late on really good maybe this is slumping but im not sure because this has been going on since last season. I would love when David wright came up with men on base i was confident in him. Know i just expect the worse and expect a strikeout every time.
