Fernando Tatis Has Shoulder Surgery, Put On 60-Day DL
This definitely ends his Mets career and possibly his MLB career too. He struggled this season but the production he provided since 2008 should be appreciated. The Mets paid just $3 million for 757 plate appearances and a .279/.343/.447 slash line (108 OPS+).

Its about time
Maybe now Nick Evans can get a roster spot for more than 30 seconds
Gas prices today are a lot like a pitcher's ERA. Anything under 3 is amazing, under 4 is pretty good and anything 5 and up is something you want to avoid.

I was hoping for some greatness from him, especially with that jersey number.

I've tried to email Revis, but it just shuts down my computer.
I know "clutch" tends to be bull
but it was uncanny how timely his bombs were in ’08.
I bet Jerry Manuel just bunted.
back then, they even let him wear his own hat

This actually makes me very sad.
At least he isn’t stuck in Jerry’s doghouse…

*tips hat for 2008 and 2009*
Someone needs to write up a top 10 Fernando Tatis Mets moments post, or something, like was done for Wagner and Delgado and Castro

I like Tatis and was hoping he'd have a bounce back in the second half
Oh well, glad we had ya, you gave us a shot at the playoffs in 08.
For most of the time he was with us, I have no complaints.
He resurrected his career, and good for him. If he’s done as a baseball player (or as a Met), he gets some police applause from me.
