I’m from NY and live in Vegas, only 6 hours away from Coors field…Its 114 here today and this heat is way better than 95-100 with humidity…you don’t sweat or feel sticky

those rules are there to protect the players from abuse – in this case, because Ollie is suddenly so bad it seems selfish but he’s down in the minors on the pretense that he’s injured and will be back with the Mets after the rehab stint. I don’t want to see Ollie starting anymore – he doesn’t even throw hard anymore – I think he’s through but he’s only doing what anyone would in his situation.

I'm so sick of Reyes getting so much credit and so much blame.
And they never tire of showing the Mets record when Reyes scores a run vs when he doesn’t. But when the other teams pitcher has a bad day everyone is more likely to score a run. It doesn’t prove what they think it proves. I think the teams record is similarly better when DW scores or when Frenchy scores or anyone then when they don’t. Reyes’ value to the Mets is as a really good baseball player. He doesn’t have some magical effect that makes everyone else play better. At least I don’t think so.

Anyone this bad doesn't stay in the majors long.
He looked terrible though. He looked like his old self when he was always fighting himself. But he could be great his next start and go on a hot streak. Let’s hope.

what a disaster of a game. embarrassing.
Hard for me to even spin some positives out of it, which I try to do. Pelfrey has completely regressed. Bay’s suckage continues unabated. Inexplicably, the team seems to be going ahead with Barajas and is going to send down Thole. Bullpen no good.
Makes me sad. I still am happy to have Beltran up, I guess I’ll go with that… sigh.

I hope this early season contention doesn’t turn out to be just a tease (Tech and Talk are funny)
