Wasn’t he supposed to be Jerry’s successor? I know that since he’s not an ex-Met like Backman or Teufel, there isn’t that nostalgia for him, but I remember when everyone was saying that he should succeed Jerry.

I honestly don't even like him as a manager

he strikes me as kind of a dick (zing!).
I’d much rather Barajas if we’re talking current players. Catchers seem to make good managers and Rod has already voiced his sound opinion many a time.
