When his ERA was like 1.12 and his DIPS were closer to 3.50. People were flipping a shit and it was a totally reasonable thing to write. Still an awesome pitcher.

He was supposed to be a fourth outfielder/defensive replacement. Alou was supposed to be our everyday LF (lawl). And even then I think most people considered his upside to be about a 2 WAR/league average centerfielder.

It is just amazing the way they
stop doing ANYTHING offensively in these extra inning games. Loved Jerry bunting the slow footed Thole into scoring position with Reyes so slappy could attempt to drive him in from second. Hey Jerry this just in, Castillo cannot score anyone from second on a hit.

ollie got us out of a jam the inning prior. that doesn’t excuse him, but the offense has to step up at some point too, no?

At leasy Barajas is injured ... of course, that probably means Blanco will get all the starts and they'll bring up that old dude in AA ...

I’ll live with Tejada … his D is much better, he’s a smarter player, and his offense is barely worse … at least he does things to help you win … Slappy does nothing.

Tejada was a bit unlucky the first month he was up with his BABIP
He stunk up the joint the last couple weeks though. It’s going to a be a moot point soon when we’re out of it and might as well play Tejada, Thole, Duda, etc to see if anything can stick with the squad next year.
