Rubin: Valdes NY-bound, Tatis to DL
Tatis has a right shoulder strain. Might help explain his recent struggles. The Mets have seven relievers again.

Tatis?
It’s probably too much for me to hope that Cora or Barajas gets cut.

barajas makes a lot of sense imo
would be hard to explain to msm
stats, they are seriously never in Francoeur's favor
Tatis to DL with a sprain in his shoulder

The 2010 Mets- Hey, we may suck, but what did you expect?
When (hopefully if) the Mets stop carrying 3 catchers
is it Nick Evans time?
When asked Thursday if he had entered the World Cup pool, Carter said: "No. I need to hit more home runs."
who?
Hey, wait! I'm having one of those things. You know? A headache with pictures?

So, um, if an infielder (other than 1B) tweaks something tonight,
who the heck plays? I like Thole as a bat off the bench, but it seems foolish to have zero depth at 2B, SS, and 3B, even for one game.

Hmm. According to DiComo
it’s Blanco. Seriously. Stay healthy, boys.

Blanco playing short would be pretty funny
I guess if it came to that, Wright would move over, no?

Would not be surprised
If after the game Thole sent back down and another backup infielder type replaced him. Especially with Jose banged up

Yesterday
Manuel suggested he’d likely play tomorrow against the Reds’ left-handed starter, as he can swing from the right side but not the left.

we might as well dfa him
he’s never getting out of Jerry’s doghouse now.
I want Jerry Manuel fired now, not three years from now. That is my stance.- John Peterson
Barajas has a 606 OPS in his last 115 PAs.
That’s ugly, ugly, ugly.
ya but he calls a good game and give the starters "confidence"
and Cora gives them “Veteran leadership” and Frenchy gives them “A Loose Positve Clubhouse” so yea that;s all I got.
he sure gave pelf a lot of confidence last night
too much credit to the catchers and taken away from the pitchers
stats, they are seriously never in Francoeur's favor
Phantom injury to keep Thole up in the ML
smells like showcasing him for a trade to me.
If that were the case, why wouldn't he start against the lefty?
