woo-who

I like Ike
Who is this "Nick Evans" you speak of?
"We're investigating the investigative procedure of the investigation of Tony Bernazard"---Omar Minaya (he really didn't say it but he would"
"NIck Evans" dog is found?

promoted to AAA?
I mean… who is Nick Evans.
You don't cheer for the Mets. You drink for the Mets.
promoted to the majors
mike jacobs is too good to be displace from buffalo
I like Ike
Mighta been
He sure was no Jason Phillips, and not half as good as Vance Wilson.
I believe NIck Evans is
an old, old wooden ship that was used during the civil war era.
The one and only mistermet on teh Interwebz!
I always thought "Nick Evans" was German for a whale's vagina
Can we please start the Ruben Tejada era?
I hope this isnt the same Nick Evans
Someone must be seriously injured to make them add an orthopaedic surgeon to the major league roster.

I hope he starts in RF tonight
I’d take my chances on a jacked up surgeon over Failcouer.
I hope it IS that Nick Evans.
1. We would all be welcome to the gun show.
2. That guy makes ’roided McGuire look like Zooey Deschanel, and prob could clear the Citi Field fence.
3. Maybe there would be someone around who could figure out why Mets never seen to get better from injuries.
Didn't they sell their medical treatment rights to the highest bidder>
That may have something to do with it. What’s incomprehensible to me is why, this offseason at the latest, ownership didn’t simply fire the medical staff and start over. To keep this nonsense going on and on is yet one more mark of a hopelessly inept organization.
On a different note I am concerned that the Wilpons are not only going to continue to keep payroll down, but actually cut it this offseason, and they’re likely to do that by trading for prospects the only player who’ll be getting a significant salary and who will be desireable to other teams: Angel Pagan.
Why did Argenis Reyes change his name?
I’m confused.
I remember goin to a game with some Phillies fans...
And whenever Argenis came to bat they would chant “Other Reyes! clap clap clap clap clap”
i guess they know he can get his stuff together with some consistent relief appearances
whereas nieve is just filler until ryota gets it figured out
I like Ike
Hey, baby steps.
His ERA is under 8 now, which means he’s been pitching Cy Young ball for the past few weeks. Except for the games he’s blown.
Nick Evans served 17 years in counter-intelligence
There is no Nick Evans. Nick Evans is gone.
/Yay!
Lucas Duda
just punched his fist through a wall somewhere and cursed his dad for making him a lefty instead of a righty.
If I was Duda, I'd rather mash the ball at AAA for a couple months
until they might consider a platoon role instead of riding the bench. I guess he’d also have to hope that Pagan or Beltran get hurt for that to happen though.
This Nick Evans?
I don’t know about you, but I liked The Horse Whisperer. And he has a newsletter, which kinda negates the counter-terrorism point above.
Jerry Quote via Lennon's twitter:
Igarashi won’t return before end of West Coast trip. Needs to work on secondary pitches. Can’t do “development” in majors, sez Manuel.
And Mejia weeps
Sadly, it's all too believeable.
Jerry’s one of those all too common clowns who has no idea how much he does not know.
Apparently after screwing up Mejia Jerry learned his lesson
In the future can we not have Jerry learn his obvious mistakes with our top prospects?
Its like having your kid learn to drive in your Ferrari; it just can’t end well.
And then after he crashes the Ferrari, you buy him a Toyota
Things go well until the gas pedal gets stuck.

Jerry doesn't learn. That's the problem with guys
who have no idea what it is that they don’t know.
The quote where he said his teams play better in the second half because it takes him that long to get a sense of how the pieces/players fit together was priceless, in a banging-your-head-against-the-wall kind of way. Because, I guess, looking up Francouer’s platoon splits on BBRef can’t compare in validity to what your gut tells you.
After seeing how many of his moves this year were simply, obviously ludicrous, and all that after managing for nine years, it’s incredible how chronically incompetent Manuel is. It’s beyond belief that he has a job.
The Mejia fiasco was astonishing. After a few games it was obviously a lose-lose proposition, even from Manuel’s pov. He was wrecking the slim chance that Mejia would develop into a useful starter for the stretch run, which might be just what Manuel needs to save his job, even while making certain Mejia wouldn’t pitch in important game situations, thereby absolutely minimizing what small value any middle reliever is going to have. It was as brainless a manuever I’ve seen by a manager this year, even topping the Zambrano to the pen lunacy in Chicago.
