no-no?
I don’t think there’s any chance it actually happens but it would pretty much be the perfect ribbon on the year.

is there any way omar/jerry survive that?
i mean, come on. they fucked up a roster situation when they could’ve easily kept figgy. it’s not like he makes/breaks our season, but he probably would’ve been preferable to Mejia/Dessens etc.
John Olerud, Hall of Famer. Got a nice ring to it.

Please stop saying “is there any way Omar/Jerry survive?” or anything like that. Yes, they will survive. They are like roaches: impossible to eliminate.
Oddly, I’d like to see Figueroa get a no-no.

Love to see it, too.
I’d also love to see him back on the Mets roster next year. Not going to happen, but despite being jerked around by a couple of different teams this year his numbers having been perfectly okay.
At least half the teams in the majors would improve this offseason by signing Figgy to a 1/1 contract, putting him in the fifth slot in the rotation, and letting him take his turn until he runs out of gas.
Of course they'd survive that
They’d survive the Mets losing 3 straight perfect games, all 12-0. They’re like Jason fucking Voorhees: they can never be killed, never be stopped, never reasoned with.
May you be locked in a battle of wits against Jerry Manuel.

call me a cock-eyed optimist, but
i think we beat up on him rather well. prediction: mets win 8-5
"I used to be legit. I was too legit. I was too legit to quit. but now I'm not legit. I'm unlegit. And for that reason, I must quit."
yeah
the 2-3 hitter shut down after the first is coming.
BUT on the other hand Wright and Beltran looked alive yesterday.

Tonight's lineup
Reyes
F!
Wright
Beltran
Davis
Frenchy
Thole
Tejeda
Santana
So, no Pagan.
If there's ever a riot at Citi Field and Oliver Perez was the starter, I started the riot.
The fun never ends. Do we know why the F man is batting second and Thole,
with the highest OBP on the team, is batting seventh—is it because he’s a catcher and catcher’s aren’t allowed to bat second?
Plus, I’m looking forward to seeing Tejada jack his OPS all the way to .500 and locking down a starting spot on the team next year.
Better him than Luis again
May you be locked in a battle of wits against Jerry Manuel.

True, but not nearly as good as seeing what Satin and Turner can do.
There’s a cost, as B James said, to platooning in the middle of your DP combo, but the Mets should all but hand those two the position for 2011 if they’re not going to go shopping in the offseason for a 2bman.
