It's probably short for Budgerigar

His real first name is David
Budgerigar would be awesomer though.

It'd be awesomest if his real first name was Chuck.

did you see the episode of the Cosby show where Rudy started calling that kid Bud
even though that wasn’t his name?
I remember it
His name was Kenny, I think.
What's the score, boys?
What did Bugs Bunny do?
What's with the Carrot League baseball today?
Norris
Fastball/slider guy with plus velocity. Lots of K’s, but below average control.
by James Kannengieser on Aug 19, 2010 7:56 PM EDT reply actions
Perfect guy to face the Mets.
Lots of K’s + Mets powerhouse offense
Below average control + Mets record O-Swing %
RHP + Francoeur/Barajas/Castillo
We're going to light him up just because you said that

This guy slider looks like Parnell's. It breaks down in front of the batter, almost like a change up.

But was that an ad for Mets Weekly, saying that this week’s episode will look at the contributions of the young players?

Nobody in baseball wanted him before the season
So they all knew something that Omar did not.
well yeah but i meant players making peanuts
obviously no one would claim castillo with the money owed
mediocrity thy name is Wilpon- jdon
The delusional part of me wants to believe the Mets can trade him for a PTBNL, like they did with Jakobs.

why don't they discuss the fact
THOLE IS BETTER THAN BARAJAS, AND IT’S REALLY NOT CLOSE
mediocrity thy name is Wilpon- jdon
did you see the pained look on Frency's face when he layed off that high pitch
He’s like a child. He gets cranky when he can’t do whatever he wants, which is to swing at every pitch.
This pitcher is inexperienced. If he throws only 1 foot of the plate, Francoeur can still foul it off.
He should locate his pitch 3 feet away.
Why on earth are we watching this?
They are out. It’s over. Playing Barajas should be reason enough to get fired.
it's riveting....
my brain to my skullcap, that is
such a long at bat
and still only 2 balls – impressive
I look for a really strong run

are there numbers that

"Ike Davis advanced on caught stealing with error to 2B, advanced to 3B on error. Error by Angel Sanchez"
Pff, I was hoping they would screw up the scoring and give him a SB. Ike is slow as hell and he could brag of having stolen a base.
once again, this is a suck fest. Whoever sucks less is the winner.

Well people. I'm bailing...If the Mets somehow come back and win it, I'll check the highlights...
but I’m not holding my breath.
Call me crazy
Even though the Wilpons for some strange reason like Minaya I think hes gone at the end of the year. This team cant go 82-80 have a huge attendance percentage drop-off and then keep Minaya. They have to clean house look at this team, they’re surrounded by awful contracts everywhere (see my fanpost). If they dont clean house then well they deserve to be the continual joke that they are
Once again

I had a boss named Jeff who was the biggest prick ever.
My friend Geoff, on the other hand, hooked me up 4th row behind the Mets dugout last week.
Hey !. Don't talk to my mami like that.
I always say "Joff" for "Geoff"

So the Mets can’t downgrade manager no matter what now.

Jamesey he works at a blog for the poor.
Saving his good sense for someday.
After Omar and Jerry could not take to no more.
Might as well blog cricket or rugby…
And he’s trading in the Metsies for what they lack ack ack ack…
I hate castillo so much
I would rather play with 8 and an automatic out everytime his place in the batting order comes up.

and other than homers, he’s not that great. The other two are easy HOF guys.

At least two hitting coaches have been fired and yet HoJo keeps his. It worked for the Phillies, so why the f not try it. I mean jeez!

I read that Thole is ill too
I guess the flu is going around the clubhouse
I doubt he'd even have the energy to play
Mono sucks, and it gets worse after your teen years.
He wouldnt be allowed to play anyway
Mono enlarges your spleen, and engaging in physical activity greatly increases the risk of it rupturing. Not even the Mets training staff would be stupid enough to clear him to play.
I got it at age 25 and have no clue how
But it sucked, felt like death for a week than a couple weeks of no appetite or energy.
I got it last summer
The sore throat was the worst part. Could barely eat or drink a thing without horrible pain.
To make matters worse, I was also in a walking boot for a broken foot at the same time…
I've had strept throat before mono, but it was like a super strain of it when paired with mono
I couldn’t swallow solids.
he would not be allowed
your spleen enlarges and is very sensitive, any kind of blow could rupture it.
this is a little like
my theory that Jose is ADD
Musta been
I had to go 12 weeks without exercising last summer because the swelling in my spleen didnt go down even when I felt better. Definitely fun to gain 10 pounds right before you go to the beach lol.
Save us Jeff Francouer
you're our only hope
