when I first read that

If people percieve that there is something wrong with him, they are more likely to give him an opportunity next season.

With all of the anxiety issues that have come out in baseball over the past few years, it’s quite poor if he is using this as an untruthful excuse.

Everyone is entitled to be stupid, but Jerry abuses the privilege.

Disappointment Mode...We are in the midst.

Here is what’s gonna happen with Frenchy. After being excruciatingly bad until the end of this season and making us suffer, he will be dumped in the post-season and picked up by someone else. He will also see a sports psychologist during the off-season and figure out his issues, and proceed to learn to wait for his pitch and hit .330 with a OPS of .920 next season. He will win all sorts of awards because of his niceness and performance, and Sportscenter will do a special on him discussing the importance of mental health help when needed. It will be schmaltzy.

25 years of Mets fandom tells me so.

He should feel anxious

His career is in a lot of trouble. Besides the Mets, the only other team stupid enough to want him may be the Royals. I think he will be out of the majors by 2012.

But--strangely enough--Francouer really is a major league ballplayer.

A RFer and PHer against lefties only, but there are a dozen teams who should offer him a million to a million five to fill their fourth or fifth OFer slot next year.

He’s like the girl you would have had a good time with if you had intelligently settled for casually dating her. But noooooooo! You decided it was time and that she was marriage material. And now look what you’ve gone and done. She’s cost you what was potentially one of the best years of your life, you missed out on that real woman who will never look your way again, and the separation is getting very, very ugly.
