Should the Mets convert Wilmer Flores to catcher?

As most of us know, SS Wilmer Flores is one of the Mets' top prospects.  He turned 19 in August, and hit very well at A+ St. Lucie, although his walk rate was alarmingly low.  Flores has a very quick bat and projects to have good power.  In the field, he has a strong arm and soft hands.

Flores' major drawback is his lack of speed.  There are serious questions about whether he'll be able to remain in the middle infield.

The Mets don't have an elite catcher, and none of their current catching prospects are project as such.  Flores is probably 2-3 years away from the Majors.  That's enough time to convert him to catcher.  If this should successfully happen, the Mets will have an easier time of piecing together a devastating lineup.
