Parnell Shut Down For Season
According to Brad Como of SNY, apparently the Mets shut Parnell down after an MRI showed inflammation in his right elbow.
There goes my idea of dealing him while his value is back up. Or I guess I should say was back up...

It sounds as if it's only a minor injury, from the report.
Well…it was nice knowing you Bobby.

After 38 years of following this team
I’m about ready to be “shut down”

Oh cmon.......really????
There is no hope.... there is no future....there is only GRISSIONZ
The 2010 Mets- Hey, we may suck, but what did you expect?
This is a prudent move by the Mets
Since it seems that they caught this early it might not require surgery. If not it will be arthroscopic type.
It was probably just a matter of time
throwing 100 mph is not something you can keep up for a long time, unless your Billy Wags.
Is there a way Mets fans can invest their money in Dr. Altcheck’s practice? Sign me up.
You all know what this means? Meijia is our 2011 closer
pending his surgery of course. Plan B is Pat Misch.
Well, relatively
this is a good news. Any injury that fills the weeks quota without being Reyes, Wright, Pagan, Niese, Pelf, Davis or Thole is a good week for me.
I bet Jerry Manuel just bunted.
Cap'n Fastball?!
NOOOOOOOO! At least they’re shutting him down before he destroys himself.
Hey, wait! I'm having one of those things. You know? A headache with pictures?

I forgot he existed. Seriously.
What the hell is up with that. He’s a bullpen pitcher, not some bench-warming guy.

That was perhaps the least informative sports report ever...
What I learned: he might pitch, and he’s really good at calisthenics.
