Manuel feels disrespected by Torre
In other news, Mets fans feel disrespected by your managing.
Edit: According to Gary, Keith, and Ron, apparently Torre just apologized in the Dodgers pre-game saying he won't be managing the Mets or any other team... HOORAY!

I want Jerry to apologize to all of us.
Really. He has disrespected every paying customer and freeloading fan of this organization with his conduct over the past two seasons. So stop with the disrespect talk and stop burning out next year’s prospects.
As my dad would say, "This guy is quite a little mensch"
"I find it also curious when someone comments about a job that someone already has," Manuel said before Tuesday night’s game against the Florida Marlins. "I don’t know him on a personal basis, but when things like that come out, you question the integrity."
I don’t even know where to begin. Torre would not be an issue if he had done his job this year in any sort of close-to-average manner. Jerry has repeatedly tried to shift blame to players and others, so I’m not sure that “man of respect” argument works any more than the sign “Manager” on his office door convinces anyone that he manages a baseball team. Now let’s dissect this comment:
"The uncertainty, I’m still going to do my thing," Manuel said. "Once the game starts I’ll do what I can, the best that I can do. It has no effect how I am going to manage. I’m still going to do what I do."
Let’s count the fallacies in here: (i) there is no uncertainty Jerry, not so far as your job is concerned; (ii) there could possibly be uncertainty or perhaps certainty that you would keep your job if you took the time to perhaps analyze and change “your thing” from time to time, rather than stepping off the same cliff every night; (iii) once the game starts you very rarely do the best that you can do, which would probably be letting Steve from Bayside manage the game while you went and had a snack; and (iv) nothing appears to affect how you manage, so the last two sentences are meaningless.
/end rant.

I'm compelled to respond with this:

Save Jenrry Mejia!

Is that Bob Melvin?
Joe Torre?
Wally Backman?
Ozzie Guillen?
Gary Cohen?
Who IS that guy?

Wait a second...
“I find it also curious when someone comments about a job that someone already has … I don’t know him from a personal basis. But when things like that come out, or are said, you question the integrity. That’s what comes to my mind.”
Jerry Manuel was questioning someone’s integrity?

Clearly, you don't need to have any to question someone else's.
May you be locked in a battle of wits against Jerry Manuel.

YOU SUCK, so TAKE IT.

"Fantasy, reality, science Fiction. Which is which? Who can tell?"
Dear Jerry
Fuck you. That is all.
There were horses, and a man on fire, and I killed a guy with a trident
I hope you use this in your refereeing some time...
Penalty, number 64, offense, holding, 10 yard penalty, oh, and fuck you, that is all.

Even leaving aside how horrible Jerry is at this job...
How the Christ is it “disrespectful” for somebody to talk about being “curious” about another person’s job? Jerry, you don’t hesitate to verbally defecate on your players at every opportunity, and now you get your knickers in a twist when somebody even alludes to considering the job from which you will soon obviously and deservedly be fired. I think you put as much thought into these comments as you put into bullpen usage.
maybe Jerry legitimately has no idea he's not going to be returning?
mediocrity thy name is Wilpon- jdon
If this is the case...
Jason Bay isn’t the only Met who needs an MRI. Seriously, Jerry might have something seriously wrong with his brain.

This is the Mets we're talking about
Where no one is held accountable for anything, unless he’s Carlos Beltran. There’s at least a 10% chance he is returning.
May you be locked in a battle of wits against Jerry Manuel.
